Chemical storage
This chapter covers all parts of the existing demonstrator which store chemical energy.
65LK_EXP13_B8xx
These tanks store hydrogen from the relative compressor on a pressure level of 390 bar. They provide hydrogen for the H2 and the HCNG fueling station. Facts & Figures 6 Carbon fibre reinforced composite cylinders with plastic (HDPE) liner and stainless steel boss stored in racks geometric volume per cylinder: 531 l design pressure: 500 bar category: 4 dimensions: 560 x 3280 (dxl) expected time of use: 20 years service temperature: -51 - 60 °C manufacturer: Hexagon Purus Data points available with a login: http://info.
65LK_EXP15_B83x
These buffer tanks store hydrogen on a pressure level from 0.5 to 30 bar. They act as a buffer between the electrolyser and the relative compressor (440 bar and 900 bar).
65LK_EXP13_B82x
These blow down tanks act as buffer and expansion container between the electrolyser and the suction side of the 440 bar compressor.
65LK_EXP14_B82x
These tanks store hydrogen from the relative compressor on a pressure level of 900 bar. They provide hydrogen for the H2 fueling station.
