The ice storage stores energy through the phase change of water.
The ice storage is located under the car park on the south/west side in front of the Nest building. The ice storage tank has two heat exchangers, one for the extraction and one for the regeneration. The heat exchangers are connected to the glycol grid and can provide cooling directly to the low temperature grid (regeneration) or energy for the low temperature heatpump (extraction).
